Carly Hart, Principal at Stark College and Career High School, works with students 15-21 years of age, reaching their educational and personal goals while securing their high school diploma.

Carly believes that every student can achieve the goals they set their mind to. She believes Stark College and Career High School supports the entire student, at home, school and the within the community. Carly has always enjoyed working with her current population of students. She strongly believes they all deserve a chance to overcome their obstacles and achieve their dreams.

There she worked with youth offenders and their families, assisting them with supervision, crisis management needs and community resources. She was also an administrator to the Teen Court program, a peer to peer program designed to reduce recidivism for first time youth offenders in Stark County.

Carly holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Akron in Akron, OH. She also has a two-year certification in Juvenile Corrections from Hocking College in Nelsonville, OH.

“If you open up your ears and listen to the needs of each student, the respect and work ethic comes pouring out of the them. I believe students just want someone to believe in them. No judgment. Only positive vibes.” –Carly Hart

My name is John and I am an Intervention Specialist at Stark High School. I live in Cuyahoga Falls, I have been married for the last 16 years (Heather) we have 11-year-old twin boys (Ian and Noah) and a 4-year-old girl (Kendal). I graduated from Kent State University back in 1998 with a B.S in General Studies, I went back to school in 2013 to Notre Dame College where I received my license in Special Education Mild to Moderate K-12. I love to spend time with my kids, I am involved in Little League baseball as a coach for my son’s team. I have been coaching baseball now for the last 7 years. We love to do everything outdoors like camping, fishing and hiking going to high school football games. Previous to being at Stark I was at LifeSkills High School in both Akron and Canton. I was very fortunate to have worked with Mrs. Hart and to be given the opportunity to continue with so many of our students from LifeSkills. I am thrilled to be part of such a wonderful team of educators, staff and administrators at

Stark High School. I hope to be able to be here for many years to come as we build this school together.

Dominique Guyton, Science

My name is Dominique Guyton and I go by Mr. G. I am currently the head of the science department at Stark High School. Science and math are my absolute favorite subjects, and once you see me in action, I’m sure you will be able to tell. It’s always best to be taught by someone that lives and breathes their particular subject matter! I am an alumni of Walsh University. I have 2 degrees and a minor; Bachelors of Science in High School Science Education and also a Bachelors of Arts in Biology with a Chemistry minor. So as you can see science is my passion! With science comes math, it’s the perfect marriage. My whole objective in entering the world of education is to bring my real-world knowledge of science into the classroom and help students to appreciate, and have a better understanding of the very intricate world around them. I would also love to bring the scientific research into the classroom in a more hands-on environment. Being able to teach would help me ‘Pay-It-Forward’ and be a role model in the hopes that I could inspire students to go far in life, see the positive in life, and succeed in whatever dreams and aspirations they have for their future.

I am Mr. Morgan and grew up here in Canton; I graduate from Perry High School with the class of 2008. I started my college career as a music major for a year at Cedarville University. I then transferred to Kent State University at Stark where I graduated with Bachelor of Science in Education with concentrations in both Math and Language Arts. I married my high school sweetheart, Kayla, in August 2013 and we currently live in Perry township. My wife and I moved to North Carolina in 2014 where I taught 7th grade Math and Language Arts at Hawfields Middle School in a little town called Mebane. We missed our family and friends that were still here in Canton and decided to move back to Canton in 2016. I taught at Heritage Christian School last year as the Middle School Math teacher. Outside of being a teacher, I am a huge movie buff and can name most actors and actresses. I love to read, sing, listen to music, and play music! I was cast in several musicals while at Perry and loved being on stage acting and singing. I have since directed a musical and several plays. One fun fact about me is that I had not watched an animated film until I started dating my wife in 2007.
